Infrastructures are things like power grids, sewers and other public facilities like hospitals, schools and police. The built environment has all different types of infrastructures but we also need to have commercial and public places, places where people come together. Most cities have botanical gardens, zoos, sports stadiums and entertainment venues that are use as public spaces. These public places are attractive to all types of people, and play an important part in the “Built Environment”. Our main project is to improve the Rach Thi Nghe Canal, one of the waterways in HCMC.
There are a number of ways we can improve this canal :
1) Attracting the public
2) Changing public perception
3) Cleaning the waterways
There are many cities around the world that has realised this and have improved their waterways.
